I kneaded some Tylo power into coloured fondant to make accessories and frills on a cake, but after applying confectioners glaze, the shine dried off....any ideas why this happened?

It does dry out eventually, it will stay shiny for a short itme but not forever. I've used it on things like car headlights and after a day it isn't as shiny as it was to begin with. The tylose doesn't have anything to do with it as far as I know...
