It looks like it might be a peony. Try Utube. Edna de la Cruz has a tutorial you can purchase. She is an excellent source.

thanks but the center of this flower doesn't match with a peony's center. i wonder if it is a mix between 2 flowers??

It looks like a rose i cant remember the exact name of the kind of rose but i will ask my cake teacher on thursday exactly what kind of flower it is.

I agree it looks like a magnolia in the center. They may have just used whatever petal cutters they had. If you wing it just call it a fantasy magnoliaicon_smile.gif

You can use a mold for the center or just make a pinecone.
