I am curious if anyone mixes MMF with another store bought kind (Satin Ice,Fondx, Wilton). I am curious because I can not buy anything but Wilton locally and have made a sucessful MMf but have heard so much about Satin Ice that I want to try it. I am wondering if by mixing it with MMF I can make it "stretch" financially a bit longer before having to order more. Taste? Elasticity? Texture? I wanted some opinions before I try it myself!

I mix products all the time with good results. I have mixed Witon and Satin ice with home made fondant. Also different fondants with candy clay. They each handle a tiny bit differently, but I did not experience any real negative results. And the flavors can improve with blending.

MMF tastes fine, but Satin Ice has a stronger vanilla flavor. Blending them results in a nice flavor. (in my opinion icon_smile.gif
