If I cover a chocolate cake, iced in chocolate buttercream, will it show through white fondant? I use Satin Ice if it matters. I haven't tried this combination yet, and I thought I'd ask before I waste perfectly good fondant. icon_smile.gif Thanks!

I cover my cakes in ganache, white or chocolate and use homemade MFF. I have never had it show through.

I recently had a student cover a choc bc cake in class with white Wilton fondant and it worked fine- the chocolate did not show through.

Yep - it should be perfectly fine. Most of my cakes have chocolate underneath the fondant.
