What kind of ribbons do you use to go around the bottom of a cake? Something edible? Do you use a strip of fondant and then brush it with pearl dust? Thank you.

I use both material style ribbons and ones that I have made out of fondant you can buy edible ones I however feel they are a waste of money...It really all depends on what kind of cake I am doing to what kind of ribbon I use.

Thank you! In your opinion, does one look better than the other? And can you use regular ribbon or does it have to be ordered from somewhere that treats and handles it differently since it touches food? Thanks for your time.
