Vanilla Or Almond?

Which do you think pairs together better with lemon buttercream, almond cake or vanilla cake?? I'm getting ready to bake and I can't decide which way to go.

With lemon buttercream, my vote would be vanilla cake.

I love almond cake too...but I can't imagine it with lemon icing...lol icon_biggrin.gif
