Does a pasta machine really help with fondant? I know it's not good for bigger pieces but am thinking about getting one for smaller bits. Any advice about whether or not they are worth the money?
Yes, yes, yes. I have both a hand crank pasta machine and a KA pasta attachment (my favorite). I use it all the time for gumpaste, fondant & modelling chocolate making flowers, rolling to an even thickness for ribbons, bows, cutting accents, etc. I love both of mine, but most of all, my Kitchenaid attachment.

Don't mean to butt in but I have an old KA . Do you know if you can still get an attachment for it? Or is this just a new addition?
I'm not sure where it would even go?
thanks. Wendy
I don't have a KA so would have to buy a hand crank pasta maker. I have a somewhat small kitchen so can only get a small one but will definitely start looking into it. Anything I need to know about pasta machines before hand? pros? cons?

I have a KA from the early 70's that I use with my pasta roller, works just fine!
