I have great recipes for all my fillings EXCEPT strawberry. I have tried a couple on here and they are too watery and soak into the cake. I have tried buttercream underneath it but I don't think it should be necessary. Does anyone have a good strawberry recipe that will pair well with a lemon cake and will not make the cake soggy? Thanks in advance!

I do add a little more sugar as well as a little bit of lemon juice.
