I really need help I have finally made a mold for my sugar bottles out of Easy Mold Silicone Putty. I had no problem with the mold part. However, my sugar bottles keep collapsing . I thought maybe I didn't let the sugar bottle harden long enough but it sat it my fridge over night and 10 minutes after i removed it from the mold the bottle completely collapsed and start to melt even while in my fridge. I mix equal parts or sugar and corn syrup and let it heat up to about 300 degrees. Any suggestions to resolve this problem will help.

DO NOT REFRIGERATE!!!

That's your problem. Moisture and condensation will cause your sugar pieces to collapse. The refrigerator is sugar's enemy.

Do you ever see lollipops in the refrigerator? icon_wink.gif

For best results, store your sugar pieces in a dark, dry place. If you place them in an airtight container, you must throw in some dessicant or Damp Rid. Otherwise, any moisture trapped inside the container will kill your bottles.
