I'm a little new to this CakeCentral.com website. I'm new to the whole " charging for cakes ". The cakes I have done so far have been for family members and I really didn't charge them as if they were a "client".

I might have a potential client now so I have to professionally price these two cakes that she picked out. I looked through the CC gallery and these two cakes happen to be in the gallery. Of coarse, I will tweak them so they can be an original. I'm just having a hard time pricing them?

If anyone can share there thoughts it would be greatly appreciated! Oh...the cake is for 70 plus people and each tier will be different cake and fillings.

Hi,

The best way to get ideas of what to charge is to start by calling around to bakers in your area and see what these cakes would go for if they made it. Then you make the decision accordingly, Usually, I charge $3-$4 a slice for fondant cakes and thats not including handmade figures.
