Flavouring Chocolate With Ground (Powdered) Spices.

Hi there
Has anyone used powdered ginger or cinnamon to flavour melted chocolate?
I know you're supposed to use flavoured oils, but I'm in a new city and have no idea where to get it (let alone no transport!). i have the usual ground spices here at home so wondering if I can use them?

You can use ground spices, BUT the flavors will get lost in the Chocolate because the chocolate flavor will dominate. That's why they suggest oils, they're concentrated and very powerful.
