How Far Ahead Can I Prepare A Fondant Covered Cake Board?

I want to cover the cake board in fondant tonight to get that step done, but I won't be stacking and decorating the cake until Saturday. Is that okay?

Yes. You really want the board to dry so the fondant isn't soft.
