I need to make 3 dozen cupcakes with baptism buttercream decorations. I have done cupcake decorations but using fondant. I clueless about what to make with buttercream on a cupcake besides a cross.

You could always go with a classic rose or rosebud. Perhaps the first initial of the person getting baptized or the date of the baptism? Or a scripture shorthand for baptism scripture? LIke "Acts 2:38" or something similar.
