I was just wondering how many days in advance I would be able to make a cake. I was planning on making a 2 tiered cake for next friday and was wondering when I could start making them without me having to put them in the freezer? I plan on decorating them probably next thursday or friday morning. Thank you.
My personal preference is baking no more than 4 days before. So for Friday I would bake Tuesday, torte/fill/crumb coat Wed, icing and start decorating Thurs, and finish up Friday.
so do I have to wrap the cake in anything before decorating it then?
