Hi everyone,
I need some suggestions on how to carve a cake like the picture I am attaching. The only carving will be the top red layer(sort of looks like two triangles laying on their sides). I tried doing this tonight using a cake I made with the regular loaf pan, but it didn't turn out too well. icon_sad.gif
Would you recommend using a 4" square cake and cutting it diagonally? and then placing two together? This is the only other thing I can think to do.

This probably seems so simple, but I just couldn't do it tonight. I hate to keep making cakes to mess up. Any direction is greatly appreciated!!

Thank you!

Diagonally slicing a 4" sq cake looks like it would work.

Good Luck!
