Is anyone familiar with how the bsg judge their compeitions?
I'm doing the novice class at cake international next weekend, and I've already asked about 20 questions to the contact on the competition form!
So it says a cake covered in sugarpaste or royal icing and everything must be edible. So my question is can I use piping gel for a portion on the cake? There will be sugarpaste underneath obviously.

Any ideas??
