What Is The Best Tasting Fondant?????

I've only worked with FondX, Satin Ice and Massa Ticino. The Massa Ticino is to die for, the FondX is very good and the Satin Ice (I only use red and black, so that may account for it) has sort of a chemical taste to it. For good-tasting home-made fondant, you can't beat Michele Foster's Fondant in any of its versions (all of which are in the recipe section here).

I like Marshmallow Fondant and the chocolate mmf is great. I make it using chocolate marshmallows.

Daani, You can buy Fondarific from http://fondarific.com

i use mmf but i have to believe it is not the easiest to work with. especially here in texas where it's humid. i've used fondx before, it's fantastic, but i just can't get over the price of fondant when i can make it so cheap. plus, my customers LOVE me for my mmf!
wilton? heck no.
satin ice? might as well be wilton.

I find Michele Foster's easy to work with if I add a little shortening and some more powdered sugar and even a teaspoon of CMC/tylose per pound. I live where it's humid, too, and I almost always have to do this to my fondant to make it work, no matter what kind I use. You can get FondX from Global Sugar Arts, btw.

Michele Foster's FOR SURE!!! Made it twice now, followed the recipe exactly as stated and did not have any problems. This fondant is soooo good. I just made it this weekend, and every one of my guests ate the fondant and was asking for more of it. First time I've been to a party where I saw all the guests eat the fondant....most don't like it, but Michele's is really delish!

I like Rhonda's MMF recipe on here. It works perfect for me everytime and tastes great. Since I am just a hobby baker I can't justify the cost of the premade brands right now.

I like the Buttercream flavored Satin Ice and the White Chocolate ChocoPan.

i like the taste and texture of the Satin Ice Buttercream--though I agree that the deeply colored varieties taste chemical.
I love the taste of Fondarific, but it is too soft for me. So maybe as a cover but not detail decorations.
I have a bunch of Fondx and Fondx Elite that i picked up at Cake Camp for a song ($5 a 2 lb tub!)

agree with the comments on Wilton and Satin Ice.

Satin Ice vanilla is my favorite one and I found that this is the one kids like the most.
I hope that helps :-)
