Ditto. This is one of the best chocolate cakes I have ever tasted. However, it is not dense enough to do a lot of carving with. I actually made it for my son's groom's cake and everyone loved it. It is not super sweet and it is one I will continue to use again and again.

Black Magic (with changes) is my basic bakery cake. I have others with finer chocolate, but the prices are higher. This is also the one I use for charity events because it is a crowd pleaser. I like my others better, but they taste more unique, not just chocolate cake (Stout, fine chocolate, and Guittard Dutch Process).

If you are looking for a wow factor, the chocolate and the method will need to be more on a gourmet line. There is where you get the, "I've never tasted chocolate cake like this before...", comments.
