I got an order enquiry form through my website on Friday lunchtime. Lady wanted a 32 piece cupcake cake and bagged decorated sugar cookies for party favours. She wanted me to give her some ideas for the cookies etc, to tie in with the cupcake cake theme, which I did. I gave her the price for the cupcake cake (which won't have come as a shock seeing as it's there in black and white on my website!), and told her I needed to know whether she wanted 32 cookies, or a different amount, before I could give her the total cost. Well, I haven't heard anything back from her, and I'm wondering if my email ended up in her spam/trash folder and she didn't get it. Should I call her (she gave her number on the form), or is that being pushy and desperate?! It's for the 3rd Feb and as it's a large order, I don't want to agree to too many other orders for that date if she wants to go ahead - does that make sense? What should I do?
In this case it wouldn't hurt to call if she left a number to reach her. I had an order for 4 dozen cookies and I was told to email and heard nothing back seems like the emails only went to the trash bin. I didn't have a number to reach them so no cookies were made. They must not have wanted them that bad.
I agree..........call and say if she wants to book the order for that date then you'd be happy.....but that you don't want to end up not being available to her because you haven't heard back from her.......and then just reiterate that you know she's probably been busy planning for the party and the last thing you wanted was for her to have a party and no cake and cookies for it!
