Sps For Square Cakes

I am doing my first square tiered cake for a wedding in october. I was wondering if there is an SPS system for square cakes? Or does everyone just use dowels to support the tiers? I have always used the SPS system for round tiers and have great success with them. I love using them b/c my car doesn't exactly ride smoothly- you can feel every single bump. And having the SPS eases my worry a little bit. I would like to have some suggestions for support of a square tiered cake if the SPS isn't available.

SPS is available for square tiers as well. I have used them before. I ordered them from globalsugarart.com.

There is no reason one cannot use round plates under sq cakes. Just use the size closest to the cake.

You can use Wilton square plates as single or double plate separators:
