My first thought is the blood, sweat, and tears method. Good ol tip 233.
I made this one recently using 4 different shades of gold/tan-ish bc. I used a combination of tips 233 and small rounds and small stars to get a variegated texture. FYI...it took me 7 hours to do the piping so allow yourself plenty of time!

Elcee, that is definitely a blood, sweat, and tears cake! I'm sure you had to take lots of Advil after that!

LOL Annie, it was huge! At about hour 4 I took a breather and posted on facebook that "no matter how much I love you, I will never make you a bale of hay cake"! ![]()
Well I've always heard that with some things there is a first and last time. LOL!!
It turned out great though!
