id like to make an angry bird cake (the actual cake shaped as the angry bird, not a decorated scene.

im guessing i should use the ball pan ( i have the wilton ball pan handy). or do you have other suggestions?

a) what would you make the beak out of? all fondant? rkt?
and
b) how would you attach the beak so it stays??

my sons 4th bday is tomorrow... he was SET on a mario themed cake until yesterday. now all he wants is an angry bird.....
i dont even know where to begin!

I thinkfor thebeak you can use rkt and attach with a small dowel or if you use fondant, i would do a mixture with gumpaste or all gumpaste so it will dry harder and attach with a toothpick or dowel. I would use the ball pan.

I would definetly use gumpaste! It dries quickly and will be pretty light! I used gumpaste on the beak for my platypus cake! Take a look! I just inserted skewers into the beak then directly into the cake! You can use a bit of melted chocolate to glue it onto the cake!
