How Do U Attach A Ribbon To The Board?

What's the best way to attach a ribbon to a wooden board? We tried super glue but it's showing through the ribbon. I've never decorated a board before so I want it to look nice and have no idea how to do it. Thanks!
I use a VERY thin layer of craft glue. I draw a line and smooth it around on the edge with a toothpick. I use the cake drums which are covered in foil.
I don't like glue guns as much as the ribbons tend to have a bumpy line. I use double-sided sticky tape and then I can reuse the ribbon from my dummy cakes.
I use sewing/quilting pins. The ones with the little balls on the end. Easy and quick!!

Yes, exactly!
The craft glue worked great. Thank you so much! I just posted pics of the finished cake. Can't wait for the fair now
Love my decorative pins--hat pins, pearl headed pins, corsage pins, quilting pins, scrapbooking brads. I usually use 2 at the back for the seam and then 3, or more, divided evenly around the rest of the board.

The boards that I use ribbon on are either MDF or some sort of plywood. I usually wrap the fondant around the edge of them. Then I run a glue stick along the edge of that and the backside of my ribbon and stick it on. I always tell the person receiving the cake that the boad is wood and though the fondant is edible, they wouldn't want to eat it. Then I explain the ribbon, too.
