OUESTION? I'm making a corset cake for a friend.How long are you suppose to leave the cake in the freezer for?And is a serrated knife best for carving? PLEASE HELP!!!!

Haha, well until the cakes are frozen, whatever length of time that takes. Usually in a chest freezer about three hours, although I do tend to leave them overnight. I use a serrated knife, I just find it cuts better.

I AGREE. SERRATED KNIFE WORKS BEST. YOU ALSO MIGHT WANT TO CRUMB YOUR CAKE BEFORE YOU FREEZE IT. I USE APRICOT PRESERVES. THIS MAKES IT A LITTLE MORE STIFFER ALONG WITH THE FREEZING AND MAKES FOR EASIER CARVING.
