Hello, I need to pipe fur for an Elmo cake and grass. There are so many buttercream recipes, I dont know which to try. What would you recommend for piping fur and grass, that is not TOO sweet?
Also, it is hot and humid, I need something that will not melt.

Indidebi's buttercream is great. It crusts well and it is all shortening based, which holds up really well in heat and humidity. However, it is rather sweet as it is powdered sugar based.

I use SugarShack's buttercream, which is also powdered sugar based. But for some reason I don't find it as sweet as other American buttercream's. It may be the coffee creamer, or it could be the amount of flavouring added. Either way, this is my go-to American Buttercream recipe.
