How do I make a prescription pad for a nurses cake?? I've seen it on several cakes but not sure how to do this? Is this just a thin sheet of fondant that has been written on? What do you use to write on it?

I've thought of just cheating and just using paper since I'm such a novice.

Thanks for any ideas/thoughts!

I would roll out a piece of gumpaste to the thickness you want and then you could either write on it with edible markers or try your hand at painting on what you want. I use a mixture of vodka and gel color to get the consistancy that I want. Not to runny and not to thick. Then you can just use a thin paint brush to write it. I'm sure there are other ways out there but this is how I would do it so I hope it helps out a little.
