I have recently started melon carvings ... I make anywhere from single swans to love birds, turtles, bird cakes, butterflies, flowers ... you get the idea ... I have had requests to start offering those as well as my cakes but I a very unsure of pricing. I am not sure what a melon carving even goes for. Do you have any suggestion on how to price this type of item/service?

I've never done them, but I'd look at it just like a cake. You have your supply/ingredient costs, your labor costs, and then your profit on top of it.
