hi, i was wondering what is the earliest you think you can bake ice and decorate before event. i do not have a big enough freezer to ice and freeze. do you think it would be ok to ice and decorate on thursday evening for event on saturday afternoon. icing and filling does not need to be refrigerated. thanks

Definately that will be fine. You could even do it on Wed depending on how hot/humid it is in your area. Put it in a cake box, out of the way or if you have a basement that's a nice cool place to keep them as long as it is clean, free of pests/pets.
