I'm making a cake for my grandmothers last birthday, shes dying of terminal cancer. I surprised her on Easter with her own two tiered Easter cake. But now i'd like to surprise her with her own two tired birthday cake!

Can anyone help me with some ideas?

Ps. shes in her mid 70's, if that helps.

Thanks in advance! xx icon_biggrin.gif

There are tons of idea in the galleries on this site.
Do you want simple but elegant?
Very feminine?
Bright, bold colors?
Bows? dots? lace? flowers?
There are soooooooooooo many ways to go with this.

These ideas may not be exactly what you are looking for - may be 3 tiers or a 'wedding cake' etc, but use the ideas to spark your own creation:

I think the quilled 'paper' flowers look stunning , theres sooo much you could do, But really, you would know best what your grandmother likes best , Fave colors, flowers etc . . Im sure you could come up with something superb for her

Just a very few ideas. With over 5,000 pages of b'day cakes you should be able to find some inspiration icon_smile.gif
