Has anyone used this icing? I'm a novice at making cakes but I like to know all about new/easiest ways to make and decorate our cakes. Any tips?

Yes, I've used it. I'm a little confused what you are asking. You don't actually ICE the cake with this, it's used for decorations (stringwork, "veils", you can cut out flowers with it, etc.)

I didn't buy the paint pen they sell on their site to use with it, I bought a fabric paint pen (the same thing) from Michael's for $20 instead and I'm sure it works just as well as what they sell for around 10x that amount.

There are some interesting things you can do with it. Not sure I'd say it makes cake decorating easier, and it all depends on what kinds of cakes you do.

I've bought some but haven't tried it out yet.

Aly, you can take a look at the videos at http://www.youtube.com/sugarveil and see exactly how SugarVeil works. Also, there's interaction with different decorators and how they use SugarVeil at http://www.facebook.com/sugarveil.

Please let me know if I can answer any questions for you, too.

Thank you,

Michele Hester
