I've been searching but the forum search function keeps dying on me.
Can anyone tell me if instead of icing if you can use pie filling?
Something like, cherry pie filling and chocolate cake sort of deal? If so - how much pie filling? And how to make it not goopy?
Thanks! icon_smile.gif

Yes, you can, but you probably shouldn't use very much - that's the general secret to cake balls or pops turning out well. If you put too much binder in them, they turn out gummy and (many people think) gross. But I think it would taste really great. You might want to use a little bit of flavoring in the same flavor as your pie filling to bring that particular flavor to the fore without having the centers get messy.
