I have to make a cake for Thursday and was trying to mix colors to make the fondant a gold color. Any suggestions???

I got a pretty good gold color by mixing golden yellow with a little brown. I think I may have added just a smidgen of black, as well, but I'd try with just the yellow and brown first - a lot more yellow than brown, by the way.

Americolor gold and some neon yellow. I did it this weekend and it was great. (I'm assuming you mean the yellow gold color not metallic?)
