I have to bake 200 cupcakes this week for one wedding. In order to save time, I thought I would put 6 cupcakes pans at once inside the commercial oven I use. However, the pans would be touching each other. Is this going to affect the baking at all? I normally make cakes so this is new to me.

I have always read it will and my mind is not working to give the exact reason why. It has something to do with metal being a heat conducter and air needing to circulate around the pan, etc.

You may want to try a test bake and see what happens.
