Hi. I am making a two tier birthday cake and would like to know if a 9inch and a 5 inch cake would look well together or would these sizes seem too small for an 18th birthday. I would love to hear from any one who has used these two sizes xsx

Hi, I usually use a 9 inch bottom and a 6 inch top...hope that helps!

To get an idea of whether you think you might like it or not, turn your larger pan upside down, then the other one on top and look at it. I'll do that when I want to try to figure a look I'm going for.

Thanks for the advice. I did use a 9inch and 6inch and my cake turned out well(I think, anyway xsx
