My MIL bought one a few years ago and said she didn't like how much air it put in her buttercream. She gave it to me about a year ago and I absolutely love it!

I've had my 5 1/2 qt. KA for 20 years now and it has never failed me! Couldn't imagine living without it!

have a 4.5 qt from a thousand years ago and a 6qtpro from three years ago. Love them both...no noise problems. No gear problems. Wouldn't trade either for the world...or even for another brand. Guess it's all in your experience.
Now my problem is vacuum cleaners! I go through one a year. Just can't find one I like.
