She Told Me She Hated It...now What Do I Do???

I learned a hard lesson on FB not too long ago and what happened was purely innocent on my part( I have others that agree), but it could have ended up disastrously(sp?) and I think that to put a remark on FB like that is unprofessional as well as not showing forgiveness towards the friend you made the cake for and you admit that there were quite a few things that were not what she wanted. So I would take it off of there and be a professional about it and a friend and good sport as well.
For some reason or another, it has escaped me. I do not know where to find this cake that the customer hated. THere has been enough information to go on w/o seeing it to make opinions on issues, but I am very curious and would love to see it and also possibly the picture of the cake that it was supposed to be like? If anyone can give me the URL to find it I would really appreciate it.
Did she remove it? It was at the very end of the post. That and the link to the PCB cake.

Both links are still there and working as of 30 seconds ago! They're at the very bottom of the OP.
I went and checked them out. While I do believe what I have said in the past is right--her cake was not as bad as the Bride made it out to be. I did see some things that she does need to work on, but overall her cake is very nice.
This is just one of those "try to learn from your mistakes" things and move on. No one is perfect as has been stated before. Keep your head up and keep perfecting your skills.
If this Bride spreads the story about what happened, then so be it. YOu said that there were some that saw your cake and want you to do one for them so maybe you have got a little help in advertising through this situation. I would take that and make up very specific cake contracts for everything you do from here on out. Friend or not. Have the customer read the contract and the details you have on the contract about the cake and make sure that they understand what you have written and agree. Have them sign the form and do your very very best to do the job as best as you can. You may come out of this situation shining brighter than you would imagine and she will eventually hear of it and realize that while she was not happy with her cake that her story has not ruined you. Hopefully, she will apologize in the future for her behavior and be a real friend. If not you haven't lost anything.
