Help! I've made a cake 3 times today. It's my usual recipe. I just started out a couple weeks ago. It uses box mix, 3/4 c sugar, 1/4 flour, vanilla and buttermilk. It keeps sinking in the middle! I've make it several times before and this never happened. What could be the problem?!? Thanks!

Have you checked your oven temperature to make sure that's not the culprit? If that's not it, I would try using a little less sugar or add an egg.

What size pan are you using? When does it sink? Before it comes out of the oven or after? If it is before, then I'd think it's something with the recipe. If it is after, is it baked all the way through?

Thanks for your suggestions. It was sinking towards end of baking And i made all kinds of adjustments. I've decided to rip that recipe to shreds. I think I've found a replacement!
