can anyone tell me how long home made fondant is good for?? the original stuff (not mmf). I keep getting told variations of 3 weeks to 6 months!! Please and thank youicon_smile.gif

I would say that the variations of answers that you are getting are depending on how it's stored as well as what is considered the "original stuff" I have had some fondant that I kept in the freezer for a long time and it worked fine, it was Michelle Foster's Fondant. Of course as with anything if you keep it in the freezer it will keep long.
I wish I could give you a more exact date but that's the best that I could give.

I use Rhonda's ultimate MMF recipe and keep it in a zip lock bag for approx. 3 mths in the pantry. You can tell by tasting it if you should use it - it will taste stale. I've never used it past 4 months- it always tasted really bad!
