Im making a golf themed cake next week and really need some advice on making sugar paste people??!!

Any advice?

Mix gum tragacanth with your sugar paste (fondant) at about 1 teaspoon per 500g so that they'll dry quicker & stronger. Let the fondant rest for a few hours before using it. Make in stages so the top sections don't end up squasing the lower parts - I make up to the waist, let dry for a day, add torso up to the neck, let dry for a day, then add the head and let it all dry well before using. You don't need to use sugar glue or anything special to stick pieces together...a little water works just as well. (If you are sticking together two already dried pieces, then you would need sugar glue or royal icing)
