For my grandmothers birthday i would like to prepare a cupcake bouquet.

I need a frosting recipe that will pipe good, taste good and not slide off the cupcake !

What kind of frosting do you recommend ?

Thank you
Nina

I did a cupcake bouquet for my mum, for mother's day and used this recipe: -

Covers 12-15 cupcakes

Vanilla Frosting
360g Icing Sugar
60g Butter
4tbsp Full fat Milk
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 tbsp Double Cream

Beat butter until smooth
Add milk, vanilla extract, two thirds icing sugar and cream. Blend until smooth.
Slowly add the remaining icing sugar beating constantly until smooth.

I may have added more icing sugar to thicken it up a bit but it pipes well and doesn't slide. There's also a chocolate frosting variation if you want it.
Hope this helps.
