Hello All! i want to make an investment soon for a better camera. Really want a DSLR, but have no clue where to start. I have lots of photos of my cakes, but none are great, Would like to get the professional type photo at home. Any recommendations? TIA

This was my question (to myself) last year.
So i went out and invested in a Cannon 1000d.

Every photo on my site has been taken using it and i am more than happy with it.
As yet i haven't done the short course to utilise every setting - but i shall (soon)

Of course it is up to oneself to decide what brand of camera they prefer - but for me - Cannon was it.
I highly recomend it...
Not sure of the cost where you are but it was $1000.00 well spent and a great investment for me.

Mine is quite a few years old now but I have a Canon Rebel XTi and really love it. I'm sure they have updated versions of the same camera now.

I have a Sony A350. And I love it! Super easy to use and perfect shots every time!
