Melvira is correct. Too many variables to know what the fix was. But what matters is you got the cupcakes you wanted.
Can you post the strawberry recipe you used as a base. I would like to compare the two and see what is different.

Because I won't know what the culprit was, I doubt if I'll make the mango recipes again. You can only have so many failures where you go back to what you know it tried & true. The yogurt and the juice just seem to be too much. I have been trying a new recipe each week, for the past 9 months, and this is the first that has failed. I guess I was finally due for one!
