Great morning!

My hubby is dying to try pistachio frosting but I don't know what cake would compliment it best! Any tried and true, very tasty suggestions? These would actually be cupcakes!

How about making a white cake with pistachio pudding in the mix.

A little bit away from cake and pistachio's i have made pistachio macarons and used a chocolate ganache as a fill.
Got rave reviews - so i am thinking a dark chocolate cake.

You would get the nut taste of the pistachios plus the coco taste from the chocolate
Plus it would look appealing to the eye (Green and Dark Brown) and please the taste buds as well.

IMO - You start going to fancy with the flavour of the cake - your going to loose the pistachio taste...... then it would be very on the taste buds

I'm loving the chocolate cake idea. He's more of a choco cake guy. The pudding sounds awsome too! I would love that myself! Any good recipes for pistachio buttercream frosting?
