My Storefront Opens In 6 Days!!!!!!

Just had to share my excitement about my new storefront's opening next tuesday!!! I have been going through this process for about 2 months, getting my kitchen up to par and I just passed all of my inspections Monday =) I will be working by myself starting out but have already had soo many cake orders, I may need to hire some help later on, but I guess that's a good thing icon_biggrin.gif I will also be having fresh daily cupcakes, a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held a week after I open. I was going to have some mini cupcakes as samples that day, but wondered if I should have samples everyday or maybe once a week? Any thoughts? Well I am done rambling now icon_lol.gif

How exciting!!! Congratulations to you! Daily minis in the beginning are a good idea but always be sure you have the budget to cover doing that. Be sure to show is some photos of the ribbon ceremony!

How awesome for you. I am starting my own small like business venture because I cant get a job. I am an out of work Pastry cook. I finished culinary classes but had to leave my externship due to family issues, like moving 2 states to accomadate my hubby's job ( navy sailor) . Hats off to you - I can only imagine how excited you are!!! I would have minis available to sample for the first week, but be sure to check the budget as someone else mentioned. Congrats again!!!

WOW thats amazing I know how it feels I live in the uk and i'm setting up my own business from home. 2 more weeks to go for me! well done too you the setting up is the rubbish bit now you can really injoy the running of it. what an achievement I wish you all the best!!!

Sampling out mini-cupcakes is great for your grand opening day. But since your business centers around decorated cakes, pictures are more important. Lots of pictures!
