How do I make gears for a steam punk cake? I found some silicone molds but they are $65 each and I'll probably never use them again. If I cut them by hand I have a hard time getting the edges to look smooth. It's for my nephew's wedding so I want it to look really nice. I saw some make your own mold stuff at Michaels but where do I find the gears to make the molds from? Thanks in advance for your help.

I just used a circle cutter and then used tiny cutters (clay cutter set from michael's) to cut out the sharp edges. I used the triangle shaped cutter to get a clean edge, let the gears dry, then painted them with luster dust/vodka.
