My husband and I plan to renew our vows in the summer. I want to keep it very private, only the family- us and three small kids.

I still want a make us a nice wedding cake but I don't know what size. I was thinking about a multi-layer 6", so it is taller, but was wondering if it would look weird not being a on tier.

Ideas? icon_smile.gif

I like double barrel cakes so I say go for it. The taller cakes look really elegant. Be sure and put in your supports correctly. If you're doing a true double barrell that would be 8 inches tall, support every 4 inches. If you do 6 inches tall, then put in your supports at 3 inches.

Enjoy your renewal

I have a tall 6 inch cake in my photos. Not a wedding cake but I like the way those tall 6 inch cakes look.
