Am having a nightmare day . been cakeing for 12 hours , all going wrong . Just posted half a post by accident , shows how tired I am . Anyway first stacked cake , two layers but very heavy . Used wilton plastic dowels , cut them with an electric breadknife as I had nothing else , stupid now I know ! I have no sandpaper to even the very rough edges , was wondering can I just stick them back in upside down ????
Any help would be greatly appreciated . I AM DESPERATE X icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

I know when bubble tea straws are used for dowels - they are just cut straight across - they don't need to have sharp ends - but I in your case, I see no problem with you putting them in upside down..
Can you buy bubble tea straws or the wooden dowels anywhere in time?

Don't the Wilton plastic legs fit onto a plate? Do you own a microplane?

Do you have an emery board or metal finger nail file?
