I think it's an interesting concept, but very pricy and unnecessary.
Having traveled with many cakes... and only using dowels and cardboard cake circles... we worry WAY too much about it. I always make sure my cakes are chilled and they always arrive unscathed. I use bubble tea straws and a central dowel nowadays and never have issues.
(suppose I should knock on some wood now right?? LOL)
The big thing with the cake stackers system is that you have to charge a huge deposit to cover any loss and then the venue has to know how to take it apart. I know I would be swearing taking that thing apart to serve a cake. ![]()
