A social media expert tells me .....

Twitter is a tool to drive people to your website. "Check out this great Colts Cake! (insert link)".

Facebook is more interactive; gets people involved. "We're debating our favorite cake flavor today. It's a tie between Margarita Cake and Bananas Foster cake. Visit our fan page and tell us your favorite!"

twitter tells them "read this". Facebook tells them "read this AND tell me something back!"

Flickr was designed as a photographer's website so it has HUGE capacity for holding lots of photos. Up to a certain capacity is free (and I had mine a couple of years before I had to pay the WHOPPING $25 annual fee for it.) I didn't want to put all 300 or so photos on my website and my website didn't have that kind of capacity anyway, so its a great place to store my photos. Plus I can intermingle a few personal photos, too, which would have been very inappropriate on a blog or website.

I had a few photos on my website PLUS a link to "For add'l photos of our cakes and catering, click HERE." It saved me website space, which saved me money.
