Help With Cookie Decorating

hello I always have done holiday cookies in the past but never ones that needed to be decorated, i have my cake frostings perfected but now I am in need of a cookie frosting. 2 years ago i used the buy in a bag betty crocker ones and honestly i liked those they were good consistancy, shiny and dried great. I unfortunetly need more than blue red green and white. Does anyone know of a recipie that will give me the ability to pipe in somewhat detail but will look nice and not taste blehhhh thank you

If you liked that icing why not just color the white to the color you need? I use royal icing, all icing recipes can be found with Google it is with trials that you will determine which you like best.

Agreed, try different icings and see what you like. Personally I detest glace icing and love royal icing. There are those who hate royal and love glace. Which is fine. They're YOUR cookies, work with what YOU like to work with. (Then post pix, we love to see your work!) icon_biggrin.gif
